An update for Lotus Bud is now in the app store and ready to download. View in App Store

Now with integrated Twitter support, you can tweet your meditation notes, just log into Twitter in the System Settings to enable (requires iOS 5).
Restored swipe to delete in the Recent Meditations list.

If you don’t have iOS 5, don’t wait to update, although iOS 5 specific features won’t be available, iOS 4 and later are supported.

More iOS 5 features will be coming sooner than you think. We pulled a major new feature at the last minute, to give Apple to get things more stable. Once things get straightened out, there won’t be a lot to do, so you can expect to see it in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for using Lotus Bud! Two major new features for this release, Goals and Mindfulness Bell!

Goals:

Set separate goals for frequency and duration.
Set one or both, Meditate 12 times a month for twenty minutes, or
get more ambitious and meditate twice a day for an hour each,
it’s up to you.
See both goals in an intuitive progress bar.
Color indicates progress towards frequency.
Length indicates progress towards duration.
Ease into your desired duration by enabling the Auto increment
feature.
Each time you finish a meditation with the Auto increment feature
enabled, it’ll nudge you toward your goal by increasing the time
for your next sit.

Mindfulness Bell:
Modeled after the monastic practice of ringing a mindfulness
bells.

Mindfulness Bell encourages you to become mindful wherever you
are, no matter what you’re doing.
Set a mindfulness bell to randomly ring, encouraging you to stop
and be mindful throughout your day.
Easily set a cut off time to keep the mindfulness bell from
ringing at inappropriate times.

Other additions:

Clear you recent meditations if you want to start from scratch
Restore the preset Retreats from System Preferences.
Other minor refinements.

Lotus Bud 1.0 Released!

Lotus Bud 1.0 is now available on the app store (or will be shortly as it gets pushed to all apple’s servers). Download away! On top of that good news, I’m already working on 1.1 with some really innovative features to help you strengthen your practice. Stay tuned.

I just got notification that version 1.0 is now “In Review” after being “Waiting for Review” for over a week. If everything goes well, I’ll be making it available as soon as they give me the green light!
